MY STORY
I grew up in a household where art was served for breakfast with bread and jam; my father being an artist provided me with the opportunity to grow in a creative environment full of inspiration, amidst art openings, artists visiting our home, and artworks hanging on every wall. My parents raised me in a simple and honest way. My younger sister and I spent summers in the countryside, playing with nature and imagination. We invented things, built objects, got our clothes and hands dirty. We read beautiful and colorful books, embarked on adventurous trips with our family, and drew a lot. For me, the act of creating with hands and drawing has always remained.
I attended an art high school and later graduated in Industrial Design, embarking on a graphic design career that I pursued for over 20 years.
After spending years in front of a screen, the need to pick up drawing tools again became increasingly apparent until I decided to dedicate time to my passion for illustration, which later evolved into a profound love for pattern design.
Over the years, my style has grown with me, gaining more awareness in wanting to emphasize those values in which I deeply believe.
MARF ORGANIC PATTERN
Marf Organic Petter is how I've chosen to share my aesthetic vision and values. I create patterns with essential lines inspired by organic shapes. The colors are warm and inviting. I firmly believe that simplicity is the key to exploring the beauty and essence of things. Therefore, my process has led me to subtract what I consider superfluous. I believe that a mark doesn't necessarily have to be descriptive to tell a story, but through its simplicity, it can evoke the deepest emotions.
What I love about pattern design is its versatility. Patterns have the power to transform everyday objects into extraordinary products, filling our homes with warmth and a sense of intimacy, surrounding our lives with authentic beauty made of simplicity and emotions.
